What we evaluate
The published buyback categories are used computers, servers, and laptops. That matches the equipment we already process for ITAD. Monitors, cables, and broken peripherals usually travel with the lot for recycling, not as a separate purchase offer.
Working equipment can be tested and resold. The site’s process language is direct: what still has life gets tested and resold; you get a record, not a shrug.

How a recovery job starts
Send a list if you have one: models, quantities, and whether the devices are wiped already. If you do not have a list, describe the floor. We still need to see or intake the lot before anyone should expect a number.
Pickup remains free commercial pickup. Recovery does not replace the data step. Data-bearing devices are still sanitized or destroyed according to the same published methods.
What recovery is not
It is not a guaranteed check. It is not a consumer gadget buyback counter. It is not a claim that every New York surplus pile is worth remarketing. Plenty of lots are recycling after the drives are destroyed, and that is still a successful job if the data and the landfill rule were handled.
How this sits next to ITAD
Asset recovery is a slice of ITAD, not a replacement for it. Lots that need certificates, serial tracking, or on-site destruction should be scoped as ITAD with recovery as an outcome, not as a standalone junk sale.
